Asset Management

Redeveloping existing stock plays a key role in delivering new affordable homes. By identifying land and assets already in the Group’s ownership, the cost of delivery is reduced by not paying land value. Existing assets such as under used garage sites, hard-to-let properties and garden land are reviewed for their possible development potential. 

Our subsidiaries Aragon Housing Association and South Northants Homes have dedicated asset management groups for this purpose. The subsidiaries continually assess existing stock and asset management opportunities to enable new affordable housing schemes to be delivered in areas of high housing demand.

Other benefits can be achieved by developing existing sites, such as under used garage blocks, vacant areas which can attract vandalism and cause nuisance for residents. Redeveloping these sites also improves the local area.
