One of Grand Union’s most impressive new schemes of the past 12 months has been shortlisted for a national award.
Astrop Grange in Kings Sutton, Northamptonshire, has been shortlisted at the National Housing Awards in the Most Innovative Home Ownership Solution category, which is for organisations that made a real difference to people’s lives in the field of affordable home ownership or first-time buyers.
The shared ownership scheme was GUHG’s first exclusively for over 55 and is made up of ten high quality, spacious, two-bedroomed apartments in a traditional style country home on the site of a former Georgian manor house.
In its own grounds and with views of the beautiful surrounding countryside, the exclusive development is at the heart of an established and vibrant community and offers an alternative to independent retirement living, with all the benefits of communal facilities including parking.
Now in its 12th year, the National Housing Awards celebrate excellence in home ownership across the country.
The ceremony will take place on Thursday 6 September at Grosvenor House in London.
