Grand Union Housing Group (GUHG) is backing MK Dons Sports & Education Trust (SET) for their incredible challenge of cycling 1,000 miles from Land’s End in Cornwall to John o’Groats in Scotland.
The challenge, which starts on Saturday 10 June and will see ten intrepid cyclists travelling the length of the British Isles over nine days, is raising money for MK Dons SET; an independent charity aligned to Milton Keynes Dons that delivers life-changing programmes in Milton Keynes and the surrounding area.
All the cyclists have undertaken intense training over the last few months in preparation for this epic journey. The team consists of riders from MK Dons SET Cycle Club, which includes GUHG’s Head of New Business and Development, Dave Lakin.
Dave said: “Grand Union is proud to be backing the ride and I personally am excited to be taking part.
“It’s going to be a challenge, but it’s worth it to raise money for a cause that benefits so many people in the region.
“Grand Union has worked together with MK Dons SET for a number of years and together we have helped hundreds of people to get online and gain IT qualifications.”
Almost 150 GUHG tenants have benefitted from the IT training that Grand Union and MK Dons SET provide.
